"Frankendstew" (Archie's Frankenstein Parody) Countdown To Halloween / BlogOWeen

Here is Archie comics (circa 1970s) retelling of the Frankenstein story with female characters.  It is a fun story but problematic because I have always interpreted Frankenstein as a story about man's womb envy.  Dr. Frankenstein, uses scientific methods to create life - something that only women can do naturally.  It seems redundant for a woman to find an alternate method to create life.

Maybe there is a place for a female Dr. Frankenstein if there is a barren woman seeking scientific methods to trick nature.
